For future Tokyo tourists, don’t go to the new fish market in Toyosu. It is the biggest disappointment. You can’t witness any part of the fish being sold like you imagine. I hate to say it but you’re much better off watching the documentary on Tsukiji market on Netflix. We should’ve realized that when it was closed the first time we tried going was a sign that we should’ve never have gone.

Ate a Gyudon bowl at Tsukiji to protest the fish market—showed a photo of what I wanted because no part of the hanging menus were in English.

Mailing my ballot—required the woman at the post office to whip out a whole manual on foreign envelopes to understand the US Pre Paid stamp. My absentee ballot was emailed to me in the form of two folders with lots of confusing information and directions requiring me to resize PDFs.
