People do similar things on the train here as they do in New York. Sit on their phones—I have seen multiple people with 2 phones—or fall asleep and nearly lean on my shoulder.
All of the 8 men sitting on the row of seats across from me in this train has their eyes closed right now. Why is everyone so tired? Does the speed of the trains make people sleepy?

Stepping out of a restaurant to make a phone call—how different is that than having lunch with someone? Why is that considered such a respectful act when you would've been speaking out loud if you had come with someone anyways?
