The reason I thought I came to Japan for isn’t turning out to be the real reason. Why was I not more scared in coming here?


Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how behaviors, possessions, and surroundings become worldwide phenomenons. Everything I see seems to be a different version of what I’m used to—cars, busses, street signs, food, chairs, tables, clothes, etc. I’m able to recognize what the object is due to it’s similar form and associated function. Is this because of the form? The context? The placement? The behavior associated with them or that they cause or demand?
