The education system here is very different from what I’m used to. I am given so much freedom for my projects, they all feel like mini thesis projects. The freedom and openness I am given with my projects here is making me really question what it is I want to do and focus on. It sounds crazy but I feel pressured to do something that will shape my future.

Being a third year art university student in Japan is apparently really stressful. All Japanese companies who hire artists announce job openings at the same time. By the time the students enter their fourth year, they should have a job secured for once they graduate school. And usually, that would be a lifetime commitment. You would work for that company your whole career.
